2) well they were open for 4 hours before the game, so the ticket office people suggest that fans go get their tickets before heading off to tailgate....because afterall, the ticket office needs to close as kickoff nears....doesnt it??

3) Marvin's solution? Some broker needs to go buy all or most of the remaining tickets, and set up outside Gate 21(where people would normally buy them) to sell and distribute the tickets for the ticket office...again, the ticket folks are too busy with computer updates (another excuse emitted from Hyams) and slow downs.....I mean who would have anticipated September 4th would be the start of football season??

The saga of Vanderbilt really is incredible. If there is a way to lose a game they will not just find it but seize it. Down this way there will be much lamenting of the personal foul call late that kept a Northwestern drive alive. The call was an embarrassment by any measure. The striped shirts have done Vandy no favors thru the years. But beyond that, Vandy lost because of the little things that they have control over just like always. Missed EXTRA POINT after the first TD was the game in hindsight. Statistically it was a dead even game but somehow Vandy cant manage to find a reliable FG kicker. If there is any position where there is no excuse for it that is it. A school like Vandy should be able to sign one of the best kickers in the country every year. It isnt like recruiting a five star running back who is thinking of nothing but the NFL. A kid who kicks that has any sense wouldnt care about that. Vandy can offer a scholly worth $50K with a guaranteed 6 figure job after graduation. UT, Florida, Oklahoma, etc. cant compete with that.

Vandy not only doesnt care about winning but they have no idea how to even do it if they did.
